Sometimes, demons will be allowed to come in and attack, and/or attach to, us as a result of what someone else may have done to us.

Examples
- rape
- ritual abuse
- victims of crimes and assault
- physical abuse
- verbal abuse

The demons are looking for a hole in the victim’s hedge. These holes are a result of the victim’s response is / was to the violation.

If the victim does not work through the negative emotional reactions, it allows the demons “legal rights” to attack them.
- As a result, the demons will try to increase the frequency and intensity of these emotions which turns them into mental strongholds.

In order to become free from these demons, the victim MUST fully forgive ALL those who have wronged them - no matter how evil and vicious the wrong(s) may have been.
- Demons feed off of the negative emotions; that’s why they try to increase the frequency and intensity of them.
- If they are unable to forgive, have them ask the Lord to help them to be made willing.
- Scripture - work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is the Lord who is at work in you both to will and to do according to His good pleasure.
- If they do not fully forgive those who have hurt them
- the demons cannot be cast out.
- God will not forgive them.
- God may not be willing to hear any of their prayers which will make deliverance difficult, if not impossible.
